    From organic recycling to landfill reduction and carbon sequestration, our structured approach offers guidance, training, technical support, and outreach. Services include but are not limited to, establishing food scrap drop-off sites, optimizing collection strategies, implementing effective recycling and composting methods, and redistributing soil amendment locally. Emphasis is placed on data collection and quantification to align organic waste management efforts with community objectives.

  • Cultivating thriving ecosystems in backyards, gardens, or public spaces.

    Our hands-on workshops dive into the art of composting, worm farming (vermicompost), compost tea brewing, and more, highlighting the connectedness between organic recycling, soil, and healthy plants. The initiative aims to cultivate a culture of independent analysis and learning, extending beyond the workshops. Stakeholders also have the option to integrate WeRadiate technology-enabled monitoring, which provides insights into the recycling process, allowing participants to learn and share their observations.

    Duration: Minimum 3 workshops (2 hours each)

  • Supporting urban and rural farms, along with businesses, with carbon insetting, a sustainable practice aimed at reducing carbon emissions and enhancing environmental resilience.

    By composting materials like manure, agricultural residues, or food scraps, stakeholders are able to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve soil health without excessive chemical fertilizers. We provide guidance, technological support, and hands-on training, to assist farmers in saving money and resources and promoting local sustainable agriculture practices.

    Our workshops empower children aged 3-17 and young adults aged 21-35 to become sustainability stewards through hands-on activities tailored to school and university curriculums and sustainability agendas. Covering composting, soil health, worm farming, and more, participants learn about the importance of organic recycling in environmental stewardship. Most importantly, sessions provide educators with tools to promote outdoor engagement and curiosity, fostering a connection with nature while reducing screen time. Depending on the workshop's age group and objectives, participants may receive seeds to plant, journals to fillet independently, or start compost bins at their campuses.

Enacting Municipal Organics Management Programs

The Plate to Field Project will provide structure, training, technical assistance, and education & outreach to assist five participating municipalities in Erie County with new or expanded food waste collection services including residential food waste drop-off locations.

WeRadiate’s research, legislation efforts, and grassroots engagement are aimed at bringing structural policy changes in climate change, waste management, and soil amendment.
